Game Winning Snacks

Healthy Vegan Super Bowl Snacks! From Plant-Based Athlete and Lifestyle Blogger Marcus Watts

It’s funny how the yearly calendar is always looked at less by the days we have, and more by the marquee events that are sprinkled about.

Summertime and all the trips, cookouts, and beach events that you wish to attend. Fall, season change school starting up for the kids. October and November with Halloween and Thanksgiving. The argument could be a good one that many look forward to the deals on Black Friday as much as they do the Food itself.

Winter. Christmas.

Always the ever-present “system reset” known as the new year. Goal analysis. Most wanting to be healthier or get the body they dreamed of that has eluded them. The start of the new year is an amazing time. But don’t forget one of the most well-known parts of the new year.

February ushers in both Black History Month, and one of the largest sporting events on the planet. The Super Bowl.

That means finding the coworker or friend with the biggest flat screen and get an invite. Or “casually” invite yourself. (Hey, we have all been there)

The game is always the focus but talk about the real reason we are here.

The food.

Now, being that I’m plant based, a fitness coach, we aren’t going to talk your normal “wings, chips and dip.” I want you guys to enjoy yourselves but not go overboard. You can be healthy and not give up ANY of the flavor, and overall enjoyment from your food. Let’s get into the food now!

Here are a few recipes I know you will enjoy.
